Spanish-language Bollywood TV channel Zee Mundo will launch in Latin America in the next few months, said to NexTV News Latam the General Manager, Javier López Casella.
“After successfully capturing the Hispanic market in the United States, we will be expanding in the coming months to several markets in Latin America like Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina”, the executive said.
Zee Mundo arrived this year in the US Hispanic market, where it is currently available on DISH Latino package and the pay TV OTT service Sling TV. Meanwhile, the company “is in talks with other pay TV providers both in this market and in Latin America”, Lopez Casella added.
The network is part of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, one of India’s leading television and entertainment companies. It is amongst the largest content aggregators and distributors of Hindi programming and other languages in the world, with an extensive library of more than 222,000 hours of television content.
In December, the channel is offering movies like “Mi Amigo Pinto”, “Que Soy lo Dios Dios”, “Dios Dios” and “Amor y Familia”. The trailers of each of the films are available on Zee Mundo’s Youtube channel.
