The Peruvian telecommunications operator Win announced it will offer TV over the internet through Wing TV. The platform will be available for customers using Android devices, and its catalog will include national FTA TV channels, some internationals and several applications available, such as Netflix, HBO and others. A USD 200 thousand investment is estimated for this project.
According to Jose Luis Olivera, Win’s General Manager, the operator will also invest USD 4 million this year to expand its fiber optic internet offer to the Pueblo Libre district, located in Lima. In addition, he also informed that there are intentions to take it also to others, such as Santiago de Surco, Chorrillos, San Miguel and Callao. Olivera also reported that the company has a 22% penetration in Lima’s condominiums , and plans to raise it to 30% by the end of the year. Currently, Win supplies 122 condominiums, of between 200 and 300 departments each.
