ViacomCBS to launch new premium SVOD OTT in Latin America in 2021

During its Q2 2020 quarterly results presentation, ViacomCBS announced the launch of a new premium SVOD OTT, scheduled for early 2021. As confirmed by ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI), its international expansion will begin in Australia, and then reach Latin America. and the Nordic Countries, and will be developed together with distribution partners with whom VCNI currently works, as well as with others who will join.

The new OTT catalog will bring together exclusive premieres of new Showtime series, original CBS All Access content, Paramount Pictures movies, premieres and content from Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon and Paramount Network, as well as original productions from ViacomCBS International Studios, in some markets.

In Latin America, the most recently ViacomCBS released OTT is Pluto TV. The platform hopes to launch in Brazil in the near future, although the company has not confirmed the date up to now.
