VIS, a division of ViacomCBS, has officially announced last week a first look deal for Spanish language content with AGC Television, a division of the US film and TV production company AGC Studios. As officially reported, a two-year ten project development deal was announced, in which the first one is based on a scripted series titled ‘Te Buscare Hasta Encontrarte’ (I Will Look for You Until I Find You), whose plot will focus on human trafficking victims.
‘We continue to strengthen our strategy by collaborating with international partners that provide innovative content to our global audiences’, reported JC Acosta, President at ViacomCBS International Studios and Networks Americas. ‘This partnership allows us to work closely with AGC to create Spanish-Language content to feed our global studio and Paramount+ (ViacomCBS’s SVOD OTT, launched in Latin America last March 4th) content offering.
Lourdes Diaz, President at AGC Television, has also expressed herself on the agreement: ‘We are happy to be partnering with ViacomCBS International Studios to bring compelling stories from talented Hispanic writers, directors, and actors. ViacomCBS International Studios is a leading producer in premium global content and we look forward to working with its team on innovative scripted and non-scripted projects’, she said.
According to the information reported by ViacomCBS, VIS now has more than 140 projects under development. Apart from the first-look deal announced with AGC Television, VIS has recently announced a new slate of content which further expands the Paramount+ global content lineup, in partnership with world-renowned content creators and producers. Projects include scripted series, documentaries, films, and live shows for ViacomCBS’s brands, as well as for third parties in all territories, and in collaboration with the best international partners and well-known talents.
