ViacomCBS Networks Americas announced that its global channels MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Comedy Central and Paramount Channel are already part of the DirecTV GO’s content catalog in Mexico, where it was launched on Tuesday, March 24th.
Apart from the already mentioned linear TV channels, DirecTV GO subscribers in Mexico will also have a VOD catalog, which includes programs such as Paw Patrol, Blaze and the Monster Machines (Nick Jr.), Comedy Central Stand Up Comedy Central), Acapulco Shore (MTV) and series like The Handmaid’s Tale and Killing Eve (Paramount Channel).
The announcement was made by Rita Herring, Senior VP Content Distribution at ViacomCBS Networks Americas, who said that ‘with the launch of our channels on the DirecTV GO platform, our audiences will be able to watch their content anywhere’. She also explained that ‘this, together with the content that will be available on demand, will allow us to increase the reach of our brands throughout the region’.
As DirecTV officially reported, OTT DirecTV GO is available in Mexico on smartphones (Android and iOS); tablets (Android, iOS), laptops and computers (Windows, Apple, Chrome), as well as Apple TV, Samsung TV, Amazon Fire, Chromecast, Android TV and Roku (all devices with versions from 2017 onwards).
