Venezuelan cinema is now available on streaming through CineMestizo

According to what  several specialized websites have recently reported, the ‘CineMestizo’ platform, specialized in films produced in Venezuela, is now available. The platform features a catalog of Venezuelan content under the TVOD model. This way, those who enter its catalog will pay only for the title they want to watch.

The project is led by Daniel Ruiz Hueck, producer and cultural manager, from Madrid, Spain, and An Rodríguez, in charge of technological support, from New York, US. Ruiz Hueck was director of the VIART Festival and founder and director of the Caracas Short Film Festival: CHORTS, and other cultural projects.

Some of the titles currently available at CineMestizo are ‘Reveron’; ‘Pequeña revancha’; ‘Cara o sello’; ‘La corte malandra’; ‘100 años de perdon’; ‘Translucido’; ‘Cuatro esquinas’; ‘Suficiente coraje’, and others. The platform’s movie catalog is organized according to different categories, including the most watched ones, blockbusters, festival prized, and co-productions.

To access a title, CineMestizo demands a previous registration or login, as appropriate. Later, each user must choose a title and buy it. The prices to rent a movie are  between USD 1.85 and USD 4. Each film will be enabled so that the user can watch it for a 48-hour period, although the film can be watched only once. So far, access to CineMestizo can only be done through its web version.
