Underground works on more than 20 productions for Telemundo

Sebastián Ortega, Executive Producer at Underground Producciones and Development Director at Telemundo Global Studios, reported that the Argentine production company, acquired by Telemundo in 2019, is working on more than 20 projects for the next two years.

‘We have many plans for the future. We are planning to launch more than 20 shows that we will be doing between 2021 and 2022, which include comedies, dramas and documentaries’, he said. ‘We recently released a documentary for Netflix called ‘LA Originals.’ It was one of the most watched on Netflix in the US for almost two weeks during the pandemic, in April, he added’.

Regarding his relationship with Telemundo, he highlighted that it began after the sale of the format of the Argentine series ‘El marginal’, adapted in the US by Telemundo as ‘El recluso’. ‘We recently premiered ‘100 dias para enamorarnos’, an adaptation of a fiction we made in Argentina (aired on the FTA TV channel Telefe). The show was great, and the fact that it was done on Telemundo made it a more high quality product. And now it is also having a lot of success in Spain and Latin America through Netflix’, he highlighted.
