Pay TV channel UCL (‘Un Canal Latinoamericano), which already operates in several Latin American countries, announced a partnership agreement with the Chinese company Zeasn, OTT and smart TV solutions supplier, in order to expand the reach of its OTT , UCL Play. The app that will allow access to the platform will be available on selected Zeasn-compatible devices, including Philips and AOC smart TVs.
‘UCL TV is proud of this agreement that allows us to expand our digital platform in Americas, betting on broadcasting and promoting international content’, said Pablo Scotellaro, President of the channel.
As reported in early June on its official website, UCL TV already operates in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Mexico, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Spain in operators and platforms, with the aim of ‘reflecting the identity of the Latin American continent’. Some of its contents are the daily news report of the Organization of American States (OAS), through OEA NEWS, and productions from Paraguay, Panama, Uruguay, Argentina and Colombia, with whose governments it has just ran agreements to add content. In the transcontinental sphere, it is allied with France 24, DW Español, RFI (Radio France Internacional) and RT en Español.
