TyC Sports to be the official BLAST Premier CS: GO broadcaster in Latin America

With the aim of continue with the development of its e-sports strategy in Argentina and Latin America, TyC Sports officially announced that it will broadcast the BLAST Premier CS: GO, the professional Counter Strike league, after running a partnership agreement with BLAST.

The agreement includes the live broadcast on the OTT TyC Sports Play of the Spring and Autumn stages of the competition, including the Series, Showdowns and Finals, in addition to the Global Final; together with special programs from of Player One, program focused on e-sports, on the TyC Sports screen, with the content of each event and the monitoring of all stages and tournaments on all the digital platforms of the channel.

This way, TyC Sports E, the TyC Sports  gaming and electronic sports division, increases its content portfolio for gamers, which includes the development and broadcast of e-sports events, digital and TV coverage of the main tournaments and market news, and the production of two weekly editions of Player One on TyC sports screen.

In addition, there is a whole matter of structure, organization and content generation that coincides with our way of working and that causes a large audience interested in the product around the event’, Fabian Minotto, Head of TyC Sports E, the channel’s gaming and eSports division, told Nextv News.

BLAST Premier distributes USD 4.25 million in prizes, and is available in more than 100 countries. Due to the current global situation, the next two stages of the competition (Showdown and the Spring Final) will be played online during June, and will be broadcast live.
