Argentine pay TV channel TyC Sports is expanding its sports broadcast offer in the US and, with the beginning of a new Superliga edition (name of the professional football tournament in Argentina), the channel announced it has added River Plate and Boca Juniors matches to its TV offer in the North American country.
According to what the company officially reported, by adding River Plate and Boca Juniors matches, the channel has 11 Superliga’s matches live broadcasted for the US, market in which it reaches more than 1.6 million homes.
TyC Sports has also confirmed that it will air the Superclasico, match that will face both football teams in a local competition, which will take place next September 1st at the Antonio Vespucio Liberti Stadium, River Plate’s official headquarter. It will be the first time both teams face themselves after the last Copa Libertadores Final. Apart from the Superliga, TyC Sports also broadcasts other competitions, such as the Copa Argentina and the most Primera Nacional and Primera Division B relevant mathes.
Hernan Chiofalo, New Business and Affiliate Sales Manager at TyC Sports, is one of the confirmed speakers in the first Sportv Series Latin America event, conference organized by Dataxis, which will take place next October 2nd at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami, US.
