Ecuadorian Grupo TV Cable has announced the official launch of ‘Xtrim’, its new SVOD OTT. As reported on the platform’s official website, its catalog brings together more than 70 live TV channels in HD; as well as VOD content that includes series and movies, to be watched from any device. Access to the platform is free for the company’s TV customers, while its internet and telephony customers, and those who are not company customers, must pay a monthly subscription.
Those who decide to make the payment and access the Xtrim catalog will enjoy a 20% discount for the first six months, and access the content for free during the first 15 days. Contents can be watched on up to three devices at the same time; and it is also possible to restart contents, pause them and rewatch titles already aired up to two hours before. It is also possible to access content recommendations and content with parental control, and other features available.
The Xtrim catalog is made up of several Ecuadorian TV channels such as Ecuavisa, Telerama, TVC, RTS; TC Television and others; in addition to children’s channels (Disney Junior; Disney Channel; Disney XD; Cartoon Network HD; Nickelodeon HD; Nick Junior; Boomerang; NatGeo Kids and Discovery Kids); sports channels (ESPN; ESPN 2; ESPN 3; ESPN Extra; Fox Sports HD; Fox Sports 2 HD; Fox Sports 3 HD and Discovery Turbo); movies and series channels (including Fox Channel; TNT Series HD; TBS; Cinemax; A&E and others); channels focused on novels and home (TLNovelas; E!; Fox Life; Food Network; Lifetime and others); cultural channels (National Geographic HD; Animal Planet; Discovery and others); news channels (CNN; Telemundo and Las Estrellas); and music channels (MTV and HTV).
Programming can be complemented with access to packages with premium content, which need an additional subscription, such as Fox Premium; HBO GO; Paramount+; Viu and ECDF (channel that broadcasts matches played by the Ecuadorian National Team during the Qualifiers for the World Cup to be held next year in Qatar).
The Xtrim app is available for download on Google Play and the App Store. Access to Xtream can be done on iOS devices (iPhone and iPad); Apple TV; Android (phones and tablets); Android TV; Samsung smart TVs; Roku and Chromecast, and it is enabled for both TV Cable TV clients, as well as for those who make use of its internet and telephony offer.
