BBC Studios announced an agreement with TV Brazil, which includes the broadcast of 60 hours of premium British content on the country’s FTA TV. The offer includes renowned period dramas and scientific documentaries such as the four full seasons of the award-winning series ‘Sherlock’ (2010), which premiered yesterday on TV Brasil, from Monday to Friday.
The new catalog acquired by TV Brasil also includes The Musketeers (2014), Dickensian (2015), The Passing Bells (2014), War & Peace (2016), Earth – The Power of the Planet (2007), Living With Autism (Horizon) -2014-, Revolutions: The Ideas That Changed the World (2019), Secret Life of Babies (2014) and Secret Life of Growing Up (2015).

The package acquired by TV Brazil includes some of our blockbusters of vintage dramas with contemporary language, inspired by literary classics and revealing science documentaries, using the latest technologies’, said Paula Teruko, Content Sales Director at BBC Studios in Brazil.
In October 2019, BBC Studios announced a similar agreement with Globo, by which it granted the Group exclusive rights to broadcast Doctor Who, as well as other content, throughout Brazil. Under the agreement, the 11 seasons of the successful British science fiction series will be part of the Globoplay catalog. In addition, the platform will also have season 12 available.
