TV Azteca announced that, as of today, its video content catalog will be available in Mexico through the Roku platform. This way, Roku users will have direct access in VOD to the Mexican company contents, among which Azteca Uno, Azteca 7, a + and adn40, its four TV channels are included.
‘What our consumers prefer is the most popular and relevant local programming, and we are proud to offer the entertainment of TV Azteca, one of the main content providers in Mexico’, said Arthur van Rest, International VP at Roku. ‘Now, everyone can receive their favorite TV Azteca shows on demand on their Roku and Roku TV devices in Mexico’, he added.
The TV Azteca app is available in the Roku channels catalog, which is placed on the home screen of the platform system, and all video content can be accessed for free. ‘We are very excited to have TV Azteca content available on Roku’, said Emilio Aliaga, VP of TV Azteca Digital. ‘We are committed to offering high quality programs to our audiences in Mexico through all possible platforms, and we are very happy to provide selected and available entertainment for free in continuous video for all Roku users’, he added.
At present, three Roku devices models are available in Mexico, including Roku Express, Roku Premiere and Roku Streaming Stick+. In addition, there are three Roku TV models available in the country, including Hisense, TLC and Walmart’s ATVIO brand. Recently, Roku announced that six new TV brands will include Roku TV in Mexico this year. They are InFocus, JVC, Polaroid, Philips, Sanyo and Westinghouse.
