Announced in June, the co-production agreement between the Spanish group Mediapro and the Chilean FTA TV channel Chilevision (Turner Latin America) is making progress. El discipulo del chef, their first co-production project, will soon make its debut in Chile, to later arrive at international markets.
The format is based on a competition between three famous chefs and 24 participants, which will be divided into three groups, each lead by one of the three chefs, who will be Yann Yvin, Ennio Carota and Sergio Arola, as Chilevision announced.
‘In this project, and for the first time, chefs will not be judges and will become competitors. They will face each other and implement they prestige to defend their team’, said Sergio Nakasone, Content Entertainment Development Director at Turner Latin America, who also added that the release date will soon be announced.
El discipulo del chef is part of a five-year global agreement between The Mediapro Studio and Turner Latin America, which aims to develop and co-produce multiplatform content for Latin America. Apart from El discipulo del chef, both companies are also working in the drama series Las Bravas F.C., which will last eight episodes.
