Totalplay, a Grupo Salinas company leader in the Mexican telecommunications market, announced last Wednesday that it will integrate Amazon Prime Video’s app into its interactive TV platform. By adding the OTTs contents to its already extensive lineup, Totalplay strengthens it entertainment experience and allows its clients to access to a large selection of movies, popular licensed series and kids contents, without any additional cost for those subscribers with an Amazon Prime membership.
‘At Totalplay we are continuously innovating in order to be the best entertainment option”, said Eduardo Kuri, Totalplay CEO, who also expressed that in the company they are ‘very happy to add Amazon Prime Video to our value offering, and this will allow our customers to enjoy even more and better highest quality content’.
According to what Totalplay officially reported, those customers who already have an Amazon Prime account can access to the Prime Video app from the platform’s menu by selecting the OTT icon. In addition, Totalplay customers who do not have an Amazon Prime Video account can sing up from their STB to enjoy a free 30-day trial period.
Andrew Bennett, Head of Global Business Development for Prime Video also expressed himself on the integration, and stated that ‘now, with Totalplay, we have made it even easier for our customers to enjoy our contents. Our award-winning original and licensed content slate continues to grow, and we are excited to be bringing these shows and upcoming series like Carnival Row and El juego de las llaves tu customers across Mexico and the rest of Latin America’.
