As officially reported by the Costa Rican newspaper ‘La Republica’ on its web version, the pay TV sports channel Tigo Sports is expanding its reach in Costa Rica, and will now be available to Coopelesca and Super Cable customers.
With this news, clients of the two companies will be able to access a sports catalog that includes matches of the Costa Rican Professional Football League, as well as Female Football matches and international sports content such as the Copa Italia, the Copa Sudamericana, matches that The Costa Rican National Team plays as part of the Concacaf Nations League and international competitions of the Central American Football Union (Uncaf). In addition, Tigo Costa Rica announced days ago that it is including the FUTV channel as part of its programming grid, with which it shares the TV rights to broadcast the Costa Rican Professional Football League through its sports channel, Tigo Sports.
‘Tigo gave other cable TV operators the possibility of including the channel and its exclusive content in their offer. Today, our commitment is real, and we are pleased to know that Coopelesca and Super Cable clients will be the most benefited, with a greater offer of sports broadcasts’, explained Leandro Lagos, Home Business Unit Director at Tigo Costa Rica.
