The Millicom company – whose operations in Latin America are made under the Tigo brand – added the Amazon Prime Video’s catalog to postpaid Paraguayan customers. It is the sixth country to which the OTT enters, which is already available in Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Guatemala.
The offer includes more than 4 thousand titles of Amazon Prime Video, and allows access to content on up to three devices with an internet connection. Customers can them at any time and place, make the payment directly on the Tigo invoice, and even download content. The catalog will also be integrated into the OneTV platform, recently launched in Paraguay, and in the search and recommendation areas of the platform, both in OTT and hybrid TV STBs. Tigo also launches Amazon as an add-on for existing postpaid customers, and in a bundle for new offerings.
Tigo Paraguay postpaid customers will have free access to Amazon Prime Video during the first three months. During the next three, they will pay a USD 3 monthly subscription, and from the tenth month they will pay USD 6. The catalog of OTT series and films is included in the Imparable Plan, starting at USD 12, or Premium. After the launch in Paraguay, Tigo intends to extend the Amazon Prime Video offer to Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama in the second half of the year.
