Telefonica Media Networks announced it will develop advertising marketing actions on the Spanish mobile operator Tuenti freemium offer, which will give its clients 150 mb internet and unlimited WhatsApp for free in exchange for watching an advertising video.
‘Tuenti is a completely digital telecommunications service and different from traditional ones, which can adapt itself to their client’s needs. Freemium, in our case under the Rewarded Ad format, is born from two realities. On the one hand, we have a large number of millennial clients, a high interest group for advertisers. And, on the other, their need to be always connected, with easy-to-activate services that do not tie clients to contracts’, said Juan Camilo Rodriguez, Tuenti’s Marketing Manager for Latin America.
Freemium rewarded ads can be customized according to advertisers needs and goals. ‘The freemium business model is already known in digital platforms. It is about providing a free premium service. In Tuenti’s case, we offer free internet, financed by third-companies as advertisers’, Rodriguez added.
