Accedo, company that helps the world’s leading video service providers deliver and grow engaging video experiences, has officially announced this last Tuesday, June 8th, that it has worked with Brazilian company Telecine (Grupo Globo), in order to deploy an updated version of Telecine Play, a video service that offers premium movie and series content to subscribers in the country. As officially reported, the updated Telecine Play’s version will initially be available across Samsung Smart TV devices in Brazil.
‘This service relaunch has enabled Telecine to optimize the interface and the video experience for its SVOD and TVOD offering on our two largest platforms (Telecine On Demand and Telecine Play). With Accedo’s support, we have been able to better implement our brand vision and deliver a premium experience to our subscribers. The updated solution also provides the opportunity to customize our service over time bringing innovation to our platform, grow alongside our audience and secure a competitive edge in the market’, reported Fabio Lima, Product Manager at Telecine.
Telecine Play is one of the market leading SVOD services across Brazil, with access to international movies and series, as well as some locally produced titles. With a strong subscriber base, Telecine was looking to refresh its video offering to deliver a more engaging user experience for viewers. Accedo’s Professional Services team supported Telecine’s internal DevOps team to accelerate deployment. In addition, Accedo is continuing to work with Telecine to update Telecine Play for other platforms.
As reported by Accedo, the latest version of Telecine Play offers flexibility to iterate on the service, with an adaptable user interface that can continue to be customized post-launch. Telecine Play is currently available across all main devices, but Telecine is working with Accedo’s team to optimize its multi-platform experience on all relevant devices in Latin America, as well as ensuring both robust quality and speed to market.
