Telecentro enables its clients Prime Video access for free for a three months period

Argentine pay TV operator Telecentro has officially reported that, as of last Thursday, January 21st, it started offering access to Amazon Prime Video for free to its customers for a three months promotional period. In mid-2020, Telecentro became the first operator in Argentina to integrate Amazon’s SVOD OTT into its STBs.

As officially reported by the company, after the promotional period, customers who wish to access the Prime Video catalog must pay an AR$ 289 (USD 3) monthly subscription, directly on the operator’s monthly bill. Access to Prime Video for Telecentro customers is available both on the home screen of their devices through the ‘Apps’ section, as well as on the operator’s electronic programming guide, or by clicking on the ‘Amazon Prime Video’ button, on selected remote controls offered by the pay TV operator. The Prime Video titles catalog is available for access on up to three devices at the same time, in 4K quality and with subtitles in Spanish. Some of the original Prime Video titles produced in Latin American countries include ‘La Jauria’ (Chile); ‘El Presidente’, set in several countries in the region, and focused on the case known as ‘FIFA Gate’ (2015), and others.

In September 2020, Telecentro offered the first three episodes of the first season of the Amazon Original series ‘The Boys’, exclusively through its OTT, Telecentro Play. This way, Telecentro customers were able to access the content without paying the monthly Prime Video subscription.
