Costa Rican pay TV operator Telecable is strengthening its sports TV channels catalog and announced its decision to add Tigo Sports, TD+ and TD+ 2 to its programming grid. This way, the company’s clients will be able to access a wide variety of sports, including Costa Rican professional football, female football from the country; as well as matches of the Copa Sudamericana; the Italian Cup, the Nations League, and others.
The already mentioned channels are also added to FUTV, already available as part of Telecable’s grid. The channel owns the rights to broadcast the matches that seven of the twelve professional football clubs in Costa Rica play as locals. The rights of the five remaining clubs as locals belong to Tigo Sports.
Tigo Sports, TD+ and TD+ 2 will be offered to Telecable subscribers for free during the first two months (that is, until the first days of June). Later, those who wish to access its contents must pay a ¢ 775 (USD 1.5) monthly subscription.
