Teatrix enables PPV modality with live content and continues its international expansion

The Argentine OTT Teatrix, which offers a theater plays catalog to watch on demand, recently enabled the Pay Per View (PPV) modality for the first time in the play “Mucho”. This way, those subscribers who buy the content will be able to access it 48 hours and a live virtual meeting through the Zoom platform, for the first 100 people who get their ticket. The rest of users will also be able to access the meeting once it has finished. Tickets are valued at AR $ 400 (USD 5.8), with a 50% discount for  the OTT subscribers.

After three years in which ‘Mucho’ took place in Buenos Aires, it will virtually end its tour, and will tour different cities in Argentina under this modality, during several weekends, with a special broadcast via Zoom for each region.

‘Technically, the first theater play was perfect and we got very good reviews from the audience’, Mirta Romay, creator of Teatrix, told the specialized website TAVI Latam. ‘It is a very interesting option for both the entertainment world and the audiences, who need to entertain themselves. In addition, with the virtual meeting we managed to put the actors in touch with audiences, so that this relationship does not get lost’, Romay explained. The executive also told TAVI Latam that the PPV modality will continue to be developed with other plays available at Teatrix, with a focus in the near future on plays for children. Romay reported that children will be in interactive contact via Zoom with the characters in the plays.

On the other hand, Teatrix has recently began its international expansion process. At present, apart from Argentina, OTT is available in Spain, Paraguay, Mexico, Bolivia and Peru. Romay reported TAVI Latam that they are starting talks for the launch of Teatrix also in Colombia.
