Rappi, the Latin American take out app, announced that in the next few weeks it will start to offer free access to the HBO Max platform for all new subscribers to its paid “Prime Plus” membership plan in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador and Costa Rica.
Originally, the exclusive package for subscribers included benefits such as free shipping, specialized customer service and gifts from the stores participating in the service, but this is the first time that the company has partnered with an OTT to gift a free suscription. In addition, Rappi revealed that it will transform its premium modality and divide it into two plans: Prime Basic and Prime Plus, to which it will incorporate new offers and functions.
“Since we announced our arrival in Latin America a few months ago, our main objective has been that more and more people enjoy the experience and content that HBO Max offers“, Ana Julia Ghirello, Vice President of Alliances of HBO Max, explained during the announcement of the alliance. “In this way, alliances like the one we are closing with Rappi, added to the quality of our offer, allow us to continue winning the preference of our users throughout the region“, she added.
