Starzplay launches as D2C in Colombia

Starz (Lionsgate) has announced on Thursday, December 10th, the official launch of the new international direct-to-consumer Starzplay application in Colombia, with plans to continue with future releases in other countries soon. Colombia joins Chile and Argentina, where Starzplay has been recently launched also as a D2C platform.

As detailed by the company, the price of the Starzplay subscription in Colombia will be valued at COP 15,990 (USD 5). Access will be possible on iOS and Android devices, and even from Apple TV. In Colombia, Starzplay’s offering includes original Starz series, such as ‘The Spanish Princess’; ‘Power Book II: Ghost’; ‘The Stand’; ‘The Name of the Rose’; ‘Normal People’; ‘The Great’ and ‘The Act’, together with a library of movies and other titles. Up to four users can simultaneously watch and enjoy offline downloads of selected shows and movies. Users of the app will have personalized recommendations available for shows and movies, based on previous user’s views, and will be able to choose their favourite language for audio or subtitles.
