Mexican DTH StarTV has officially announced that, since last March 1st, it has started operating in CDMX. As officially reported, the company is trying to find new distributors in that city and strengthen its presence in the metropolitan area.
‘We are very happy to start operating in CDMX, where there are still many poorly connected areas that need quality pay TV offers at a low price. On the other hand, for places where FTTH or cable already exists, StarTV is the perfect complement for a customer who wants to keep their double play and save money every month for TV’, stated Bruno Pruneda, CEO at StarTV.
In addition, StarTV continues to bet on OTT platforms. Following the latest launch of Paramount+ and Noggin, the DTH announced that it has recently launched a new package, called ‘SuperNova-Kids’, which brings together children’s linear channels with the Noggin (ViacomCBS) platform. The package includes 80 linear channels, including Baby TV, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. In addition, as reported from StarTV, the company plans to launch more OTTs and packages. At present, the DTH features 205 thousand linear clients.
‘We are promoting the sale of packages of linear channels and OTT platforms. We have found a niche in the market that wants and needs both products to meet the needs of his family’, reported Pruneda.
