Sky Sports will broadcast the Spanish La Liga in Mexico and Central America until 2032

The Mexican entertainment company Televisa reached an agreement with the Spanish Soccer league La Liga to extend its broadcasting contract through the pay TV signal Sky Sports in Mexico and Central America, which will be valid from the beginning of the 2024 -2025 season until the end of 2032.

As reported by the company, the 8-year extension was granted for a value of USD 70 million per year, double the amount agreed in its last contract. The negotiation was carried out by the joint venture La Liga North America, which includes La Liga and Relevent Sports Group, a partner company in the international broadcast of the championship.

On the other hand, some Mexican media announced that the agreement may not only include broadcasts, but also the idea of ​​holding one of the tournament’s matches in Mexico, which supposedly it’s being analyzed, although there hasn’t been any information in this regard form any of the parts.
