Brazilian pay TV operator Sky (AT&T) has made a new feature available on its OTT (Sky Play), through which up to 12-years-old subscribers who access the platform will be able to enter a special profile called ‘Perfil Kids’ , which brings together titles specially produced for children’s audiences. The new resource is now available for the company’s post and prepaid customers through Sky Play, which can be accessed on iOS and Android devices.
According to the information reported, some of the children’s titles available in the new Sky Play section are ‘Peppa Pig’; ‘D.P.A – Detetive do Prédio Azul’; ‘O Poderoso Chefinho’ and ‘Mundo Bita’. Apart from the already mentioned titles and the catalog especially focused on children’s audiences, Sky Play already includes children’s channels, such as Discovery Kids and Cartoon Network. In addition, the new ‘Perfil Kids’ allows those who enter the platform to search for content and apply different search filters. The new profile for children audiences available on Sky Play can be accessed for post and prepaid customers with active Sky recharge.
According to the latest information reported by Anatel, Sky concentrates 30.43% of the pay TV market share in Brazil, and reported a loss on its customer base: during January 2021 it lost almost 60 thousand, and ended the month with a total of 4.45 million. The new profiles for children audiences are added to the new features for blind and deaft subscribers, recently launched on Sky Play.
