Sky Play adds movies not released in Latin America to its catalog

Due to the movie theaters closure as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic (Coronavirus), the Brazilian Pay TV channel Sky (AT&T) began offering this month the possibility of renting not-released movies in theaters in Latin America through its OTT , Sky Play.

The first film available on the platform since May 7th is ‘Emma’, a British film based on the novel written by Jane Austen and starring actress Anya Taylor-Joy. The film was already released in the US and the UK during the first months of the year. The second premiere, scheduled for next May 28th is the movie ‘A Caçada’, known as ‘The Hunt’ in English, and promoted as ‘La Caceria’ in Latin American countries, which has not yet been released in the region.

Sky Play provides the rental of the titles at R$ 59.90 (USD 10) each. The pay TV operator customers can enter the platform through its web version, either by downloading the app on mobile devices or from their STBs through the operator’s channel 1.
