Sky makes more than 200 Globo’s on demand titles available on Sky Play in Brazil

Brazilian pay TV operator Sky (AT&T) has recently announced that it has run an agreement with the Globo Group to make a new offer available with more than 200 on-demand content from its channels on the platform. The initiative takes place almost at the same time that the Globo Group has announced a new package for its SVOD OTT Globoplay, called ‘Globoplay + Canais ao vivo + Premiere’, which also includes the Group’s pay TV channels.

‘Through the initiative, the company strengthens its commitment to offer relevant content, providing entertainment and fun for different moments of our client’s daily lives’, they reported from Sky. The offer is available for those pre and post paid customers of the Brazilian pay TV operator with active recharge, from the ‘Smart’ package.

According to the information reported, Globo’s new content offering on Sky Play includes children’s programs, apart from humor, music, sports and other topics titles from channels such as Bis, Gloob, Gloobinho, GNT, Multishow, Off and Viva. Likewise, in addition to Globosat’s titles (Globo’s pay TV unit), as reported by the specialized website ‘Minha Operadora’, it brings together more than 10 thousand on-demand content and 53 live channels.

Some of the titles that are already available on Sky Play as a result of the partnership between Globo and Sky are ‘Vai Que Cola’, Multishow’s comedy program, which follows the story of Valdomiro, who, fleeing from the Federal Police, ends up in a pension on the Rio de Janeiro’s outskirts. Another option is ‘Lady Night’, also from Multishow, focused on different interviews in a ‘late night talk show’ format and comedy segments. For children, one of the most relevant titles is ‘D.P.A. – Detetives do Prédio Azul’ (Gloob), whose content is focused on the adventures of three friends who live in the same building and look into different mysteries and must fight against ‘Doña Leocrádia’, manager of the condominium, who does not like children.
