Brazilian pay TV operator Sky announced that its prepaid customers will also be able to access Sky Play, the company’s official OTT. To access, they must have an active Smart plan recharge, and will be able to use the platform only through the Minha Sky mobile app.
Sky Play has 30 live channels and VOD content available, which can be accessed at no additional cost. Some of them will be focused on children’s, sports, journalism, series and movies.
‘With the prepaid product, Sky brings a diversity of content in an accessible and flexible way across the country, allowing many more Brazilians to access the programming and entertainment we offer. This way, from now on, in addition to hiring packages of their interest, customers can also access VOD content catalog through their cell phone and have fun with their family, friends or alone, when and where they want’, explained Evandro Marchetto, Prepaid Product Manager at Sky Brasil.
Apart from accessing to Sky Play, since December last year Sky Brazil prepaid customers with active recharges from the Smart package can also access movie rentals through the Pay-Per-View (PPV) system, which allows them to rent blockbuster movies and access releases.
