Brazilian pay TV operator Sky (AT&T) announced that it has added three new channels from the Parana State affiliated of the FTA TV channel Globo, and has also expanded the coverage of an affiliated channel from the same state, which was already included in the programming grid of other cities. The new channels are RPC Cascavel, RPC Londrina and RPC Ponta Grossa, and the expansion is from RPC Curitiba.
With the news, Sky continues to develop its strategy of adding Globo affiliates in Brazil, an initiative that began in 2017, and is close to reaching 50 regional channels added. In addition, in early June, the operator announced that it added five new channels, also affiliated with Globo, but belonging to Grupo RBS TV (Grupo Brasil Sur Television).
With the addition of these channels from the Grupo Paranaense de Comunicacion (RPC), based in Curitiba, capital of Parana, Sky customers can access the channels in both SD and HD quality, with digital image and sound. The offer is available for both prepaid and postpaid customers.
