ScreenHits TV Limited, a free European super-aggregator that allows its customers to integrate and manage their subscriptions to TV and OTT services on tablets, as well as through its desktop version and soon on smart TVs, announced its launch in the US and the UK as a starting point for an international development plan in 23 countries, including Argentina, where it will be launched this year, and other Latin American countries.
The ScreenHits TV app is now available in the US and UK for Apple iPads, Android TV, Chromecast, and Fire Stick. In addition to Argentina and Latin America, other regions in which the aggregator plans to launch this year are Germany and the rest of the German-speaking countries, and part of Southern Europe.
ScreenHits TV allows subscribers to integrate different OTTs, such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Starzplay, Moviesphere, Paramount+, Britbox, MUBI, BFI Player, and others. It is also possible to access premium linear channels and various shows and films, and even save up to 25% per month on platforms like Amazon Prime Video and Paramount+. From ScreenHits they announced that new premium packages will be added soon.
‘As consumers are increasingly moving from traditional TV consumption to apps, there is no better time to introduce this platform, which allows users to organize and order their streaming subscriptions as channels, in a similar way that they are already used to. Now, with the opportunity to watch live TV and VOD content online, it becomes simpler for consumers to integrate all their channels and streaming services into a single app that also curates the content’, said Adkins. Hulse, CEO at ScreenHits TV.
ScreenHits TV’s desktop version is free for users to integrate their subscriptions. In addition, for £ 0.99 (USD 1.1) per month, video content reproduction from tablets to Android TV via Chromecast are enabled. Fire Stick, AppleTV, LG, and Vizio will be available for the second half of 2021. Previously, the applications for mobile phones and Roku will be launched. The basic subscription also provides discounts, packages and exclusive promotions for new services, as well as the possibility of managing channel lists, with the option of placing them in the order that users prefer, and of deleting those they do not wish to enter.
The platform also provides a child pin (‘child in’), which ensures that children can only access content suitable for them, as well as the ‘watch together’ feature, which allows scheduling days and times to watch content together with friends remotely, from anywhere in the world, and, at the same time, video-chat through ScreenHits TV.
