RTVE Play, the Radio Television Española (RTVE) SVOD OTT, was launched this week in Panama, the first country it arrives in Latin America, as announced last year. As officially reported by RTVE, the platform will soon arrive in the rest of the Americas.
‘RTVE Play arrives this month at Panama, with the best selection of RTVE audiovisual content. The platform, currently on a test version, will soon expand its availability to the rest of the American countries’, they officially reported from RTVE. In addition, those Panamanians who enter the platform will be able to access its contents for free for the next three months.
As RTVE officially reported, the platform will allow to access to RTVE’s premium content through a USD 2.99 monthly subscription, both through its web version from any PC, or on any other device through an app available for iOS and Android.
‘RTVE Play is a very important step in the strategy to expand the reach of the best content of Television Española, and overcome territorial limitations, using all the resources that technology offers us’, said María Rosa Mateo, Provisional Administrator at RTVE .
Some of the productions that will be available on the OTT will be ‘Isabel’, ‘Estoy vivo’, ‘Carlos Rey emperador’, ‘Neboa’, ‘La caza. Monteperdido’, ‘Malaka’, ‘Promesas de Arena’ and ‘Cuentame como paso’. Maria Jesus Perez, International Sales at RTVE, reported Nextv News Latin America that, at present, the platform has more than 3,600 hours of content, and in the next few weeks an additional 5,000 hours will be added, thus reaching almost 9,000 hours of available content.
