Brazilian FTA Record TV Journalism Department is working to launch a new news channel, scheduled for 2020. It could replace Record News, current 24-hour news network from Record Group , or develop a new project, competing with Record News.

Central point for the new channel is to be available for pay TV formats and OTT as a 24-hour news channel with Record’s structure. Unlike Record News, the new channel would be distributed only through a subscription, both in cable TV, as for streaming and DTH.

Together with the new channel launching, Record News is planned to expand its spaces with new Hora News editions and major journalistic coverages.
