The Venezuelan FTA TV channel Radio Caracas Television (RCTV), closed in 2007 under the Hugo Chavez Government, launched in the last few hours a new OTT, which brings together a catalog with its best historical and original content. The platform is available globally through its web version, as well as on the App Store, Play Store, Apple TV, Roku and Fire TV.
As officially reported from the RCTV website, the platform brings together more than 22 thousand hours of soap operas; 13 thousand hours of entertainment and variety programs and 7 thousand hours of news and opinion programs. The offer includes several titles broadcasted by the channel, such as ‘Cristal’; ‘Juana, la Virgen’; ‘Abigail’; ‘Pura sangre’; ‘La dama de rosa’; ‘La fiera’, and others, available for watching them on demand. In addition, from RCTV they announced the premiere of ‘Almas en pena’, an original production soon to be released.
‘We are aware that the content we have created for more than six decades is so valuable. For this reason, we have decided to bring it back digitally, and together with new original content. Together with our partners at Streann Media, we are confident that we will provide our Hispanic users with an exclusive experience when they access and watch content in Spanish’, said Marcel Granier, CEO and Chairman at RCTV.
