Pluto TV reached 100 channels in Spanish, available in 17 Spanish-speaking countries, and 50 channels in Brazil. Following the addition of Pluto TV Filmstream, specialized in auteur films and classics from around the world, and three other new contents in Portuguese, Viacom CBS IPTV continues to grow in Latin America.
On September 29, Eduardo Arias, Senior Director of Content Partnerships for Latin America and Brazil of Pluto TV, will delve into the evolution of the platform in the panel “The evolution of linear channels and multi-signal offer” of the Nextv Content Latin event America.
In addition, the service confirmed that it now has more than 25 thousand hours of programming in its content library, which is the result of agreements with more than 200 TV operators, studios and partner distributors. “With more than 500 brands that have already invested in Pluto TV, we are now beginning a stage of consolidation and expansion with distribution partners that find Pluto TV an added value for their users”, Eduardo Lebrija, EVP CCO of ViacomCBS Networks Americas, explained.
On September 1st, Darío Turovelzky, General Director for Southern Cone and Global Content of ViacomCBS Networks Americas, announced during his participation in Nextv Series South America that, after being launched in Latin America in 2020, the platform surpassed 52 million active monthly users.
