Pay TV operators and content aggregation to star the coming Dataxis virtual panel

Dataxis, through its Nextv Series Latin America Virtual Panel area, is helding a new virtual panel this coming Wednesday, October 21st, entitled ‘Pay TV operators as “super aggregators”: keeping the consumer for any content’. The event is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM (ART) and will be held in English, sponsored by Metrological. Registration is free and can be done through this link.

Industry executives experts on the matter met by Dataxis to star in the debate are Greg Riker, SVP Sales Americas at Metrological; Dianne Bisson, Content Acquisition and Development at Cable Bahamas & BCTVOA; Jordan Warkol, Director of Business Development at Toon Goggles; and Monica Gonzalez Piriz, Head of Content Acquisition at Digicel Group.

The new generation of Pay TV operators are aggregating not only TV channels, but also SVOD OTTs, live sports OTTs, AVOD free content, VOD premium libraries, PPV OTT events, D2C from TV Networks, avoiding the consumer to switch between different platforms and reducing the churn. The arrival to Latin America of new streaming devices and the rise of smart TV penetration are new competitors. How to see the boom of OTTs as an opportunity more than as a threat?

Some of the key topics to be debated will focus on the challenge of app aggregation and why it is still limited to few OTTs; new content partnership dealings with OTTs and TV networks; how pay TV operators can drive AVOD and SVOD 2DC offers; and content discovery and search evolution.

Nextv Series Latin America Virtual Panel is developed by Dataxis, a leading global company specialized in detailed market studies, high-quality events and specialized media for the telecommunications and TV sectors in more than 200 countries around the world.
