Opera TV has announced a strategic alliance with streaming platform Claro Video (America Movil) in order to deliver the service to a wider reach of devices, thanks to the Opera TV certification program and the Opera TV Store. The announcement was made during the NexTV CEO Latin America summit in Miami.
Through this partnership with Opera TV, Claro Video will be available for millions of consumers in multiple regions, devices and ecosystems without the need of working on independent development for each manufacturer, explained Opera through a press release. This will allow Claro Video to accelerate its launch date and begin to distribute content to consumers faster in the 16 Latin American countries in which the services is available.
“We are very satisfied with this partnership with Opera TV. Our goal is give Claro Video a wide visibility with the users that will enjoy a variety of contents in a single platform that includes movies and series on demand, as well as a comprehensive catalogue of concerts, sports and kids shows”, said Andrés Vázquez del Mercado, CEO for AMCO (America Movil Content Office).
Juliana Psaros, Senior Manager, Content Acquisition – LatAm for Opera TV, was part of the NexTV CEO 2016 summit in the panel “The revolution of connected TV business”.
