According to Brazilian specialized websites, the pay TV operator Oi ran two agreements in recent days, which will allow it to include CNN Brazil, which is about to launch in the country, in his programming grid, and continue broadcasting the Turner channel catalog, after several months of negotiations.
With the agreement, Oi will be able to continue broadcasting Turner channels such as Warner TV, TNT, TNT Series, TBS, TCM, I.Sat, Space, Cartoon Network, Tooncast, Boomerang, CNN International and CNN in Spanish. In addition, it was also agreed to add CNN Brazil into the channel’s programming grid, which will be launched in the country on March 9th.
This way, from its launch date, CNN Brazil will be available in four pay-TV operators, as it had already agreed with Claro / Net and Sky. Oi and Turner have not express themselves on the renewal of the network distribution agreement, although CNN did confirm that it will be part of the Oi grid.
