Mexico City FTA network, which was granted to businessman Francisco Aguirre Gómez, Radio Centro’s CEO, will be launched ‘no later than July’, as reported by specialized website Mediatelecom.
‘I am the network’s owner and it will be on air in this year’s first half. We are also going to include multiprogramming. We will take no one, but several TV channels. We have the right to that’, pointed Aguirre Gómez, who has already met with Telecommunications Federal Institute (IFT) to decide those programs that his FTA network will broadcast in Mexico City.
Aguirre Gómez won the 20-year concession to operate one of the 32 channels tendered, for which he paid a USD 22.4 million monetary compensation.
