Netflix launches new YouTube channel focused on anime content

As announced by Netflix through the ‘Netflix Japan Anime’ official Twitter account   , the platform will launch a new YouTube channel with anime content globally, also in Latin America, on September 30th.

Although up to now the company has not reported several details about the channel’s content catalog, through the Twitter account, it alerted followers to stay tuned for additional information, which will be announced in the coming days. In 2019, Netflix had launched another YouTube channel where it also offered a catalog of anime productions, called ‘Netflix Pawa’.

Netflix’s announcement comes just over a month after the launch of Anime Onegai, OTT in which anime content will also be offered, with an estimated launch date in Latin America for mid-October. Likewise, Crunchyroll, another of the main platforms in the anime market, also offers a YouTube channel focused on this content, called ‘Crunchyroll Extras’.
