Netflix has released this last Tuesday the official trailer for ‘Nadie sabe que estoy aqui’, its first original production made in Chile, produced by Fabula, brothers Juan de Dios and Pablo Larrain’s production company. The release date is scheduled for next June 24th
As reported by the specialized website ‘Produ’, the original idea for ‘Nadie sabe que estoy aqui’ was to launch it in Chilean cinemas, but the global advance of the Coronavirus changed the plans and caused the content to be released via OTT with Netflix.
The film is starred by actor Jorge Garcia, who previously acted as ‘Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes’ in the series ‘Lost’. In ‘Nadie sabe que estoy aqui’, Garcia is Memo Garrido, who lives on a Chilean island, where he spends his days working on a farm with his uncle, and no one there knows his past as a child star. Marta’s appearance, played by actress Millaray Lobos, forces Garrido to face his past and redeem himself.
The film was recently recognized at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, where Gaspar Antillo, its director, received a distinction as ‘Best Director in New Narratives’.
