Multimedios now available on Yucatan and Quintana Roo in Mexico

As reported by several specialized websites, the Mexican FTA TV network Multimedios Television (Canal 6), based in the city of Monterrey, has extended its reach in Mexico and, since July 13th,  it is available in the states of Yucatan and Quintana Roo , where it had no presence at the moment.

With the news, the channel can now be accessed in 11 Mexican states. Specialized websites from Mexico reported that Canal 6 is also available in the US and Costa Rica. In turn, with the expansion of its coverage in Mexico, the channel aims to reach 60 million potential customers in the country.

The arrival of Channel 6 in Yucatan and Quintana Roo was made after an partnership between Grupo Multimedios and Grupo Sipse, owner of various media groups in the area and founded in 1963 by Andres Garcia Lavin.

‘This agreement with Grupo Multimedios is an effort of the company to offer greater coverage and diversity of programs to watchers in the region. We are very excited for this synergy with channel 6.1. It will be something different and attractive’, said Alejandro Garcia Gamboa, Director at Grupo Sipse.

According to Guillermo Franco, Director at Multimedios Television, ‘the strategic alliance with Grupo Sipse, media leaders in the Mexican southeast, will allow us to expand the TV network through channel 6.1. Now, inhabitants of Yucatan and Quintana Roo will have a FTA TV channel for free, with the best quality and with a variety of content such as news, sports and entertainment’.
