Multimedios expands MVS broadcast in Mexican FTA TV

MVS Communications and Multimedios TV ran a commercial agreement for TV network MVS TV to start FTA TV broadcasts in Guadalajara, Puebla and Tlaxcala through the 6.4 multimedia frequency. At the same time, the Telecommunications Federal Institute (IFT) discusses, by judicial mandate,  MVS TVs t authorization to broadcast on open TV with its own chanel.

With Guadalajara, Puebla and Tlaxcala and Huamantla, Apizaco and Zapopan municipalities, among others, MVS TV will be seen by a third of the Mexican population in open TV, totaling 39.6 million people.  MVS TV will broadcast in Puebla and Tlaxcala through a multiplexed channel of the frequency XHMTPU-TDT of Multimedios, and in Guadalajara, by the XHTDJA-TDT frequency, as established by the Telecommunications Federal Institute.

By mid-2018, Multimedios had managed to validate the multiprogramming of its spectrum frequencies in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Puebla by the IFT, to broadcast from there also to Millennium TV and Teleritmo networks, and to leave the digital channel 6.4 available to a third group interested in that space.

In October 2018, Nation Justice Supreme Court the established that MVS could broadcast on Mexico City’s FTA TV network with the pay TV channel 52Mx, today MVS TV, after an interpretation of article 158 of the Federal Telecommunications and Broadcasting Law (LFTR) and six other  Constitution articles .

This way, MVS will also achieve that Pay TV operators that still do not have it on their grid could rebroadcast nationwide to MVS TV (ex 52Mx) based on must carry and must offer regulatory measures, with which that network would be growing its coverage and adding potential new advertisers.
