Movistar premieres its second Peruvian series next November 15th on Movistar Play

Following its series production plan in several Latin American countries, Movistar launched the trailer of ‘El dia de mi suerte’, its second original series produced in Peru, and announced it will premiere next November 15th on Movistar Play. The series is a four-episode comedy inspired by Puerto Rican singer Hector Lavoe visit to Lima, in 1986. It will also be available from November 24th on Movistar Series (channels 1 and 701 HD).

El dia de mi suerte’ focuses on the story of Toño, played by Peruvian actor Luis Alberto ‘Lucho’ Caceres, a Lavoe’s imitator, to whom life has been so difficult and is constantly looking for signs to change it. The singer’s arrival at Lima in 1986 will be that element that Toño expected to find. Being concerned that this event is related with his own destiny, Toño will do all that he can in order to meet Lavoe and find ‘the day of his luck’ with him.

The series will premiere next Friday, November 15th exclusively through Movistar Play, where a weekly episode will be available. In 2019, Movistar planned to produce series in Peru, Colombia and Argentina. Up to now, Movistar is available for free for Android and iOS and as an app for smart TVs in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.
