Movistar Play now available for Telefonica’s no clients in Chile

Movistar Chile has announced that its SVOD OTT Movistar Play, available in Chile and other Latin American countries, can now be hired by clients of other companies. Up to now, Chile is the first market in Latin America in which Movistar implements this initiative with its platform.

According to specialized websites in Chile, the only plan available to non-Movistar clients is the ‘Full’ plan, which can be accessed for a CH$ 9,990 (USD 14) monthly subscription Its offer includes 55 live TV channels and an on demand catalog of movies, movie premieres to rent, sports and children’s content, movies and series to download, and even the possibility of pausing, restarting or watching content again. In addition, non-customers of the company will be able to access a free seven-day trial period. It is also possible to add additional premium packages, such as HBO GO, Star Premium, Fox Sports Premium and TNT Sports HD, as well as activate Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and Starzplay directly from Movistar Play.

In addition, in October 2020, Movistar Chile announced that it is working on the launch of ‘Los Prisioneros’, the company’s first original series in the country. The series is part of Telefonica’s original series production plan in Latin America, announced in early April 2019.
