From this last Thursday, December 19th, Movistar Play, launched in Mexico in March this year, added HBO content. The OTT subscribers in that country can access it directly from the Movistar Play app. They can also enter HBO, HBO2, HBO Family, HBO Plus and HBO Signature.
‘The exclusive HBO programming is available for Movistar Play subscribers in Mexico. Through the application, they will be able to enjoy the original content in the place and moment they prefer’, said Oscar Carrera, Senior Affiliates Director for Mexico and Central America at HBO Latin America.
Movistar Play subscribers will feature original series, movies, documentaries, special contents and Hollywood blockbusters, as well as a selection of the best international and independent films. The catalog includes series nominated for the 2020 Golden Globes, such as Watchmen, Game of Thrones, Barry, Chernobyl, Big Little Lies and Succession. They will also have the original HBO content produced in Latin America available, such as Mr. Avila, Chumel con Chumel Torres, Pico de Neblina, El jardin de bronce, Epitafios and Capadocia.
When activating a Movistar Play account, subscribers to the HBO Premium package must pay MX $ 169 (USD 9) per month.
