moTV.eu develops full pay TV system for Globo

The Brazilian company Globo ran an agreement with European provider moTV.eu to create a full pay TV system, developed together with Youcast, the provider’s local partner. The system’s commercial launch was made earlier this year.

Through the use of the moTV platform, Globo is able to offer its customers live channels and on demand content, and combine multicast and unicast services in real time. At the same time, viewers can enjoy these services not only on TV, but also on second screens, such as mobile phones, tablets and PCs, anytime and anywhere. As reported by moTV, the system expands Globo’s cable TV offer to show a modern and convenient option to access its contents.

‘It is a pleasure to help and improve the quality services of such an important player in the pay TV market’, said Raul Faller, CEO at Youcast. Jan Macku, VP of Sales and Business Development at moTV.eu, added: ‘moTV.eu delivered a complete system, developed for Globo, which includes transcoders with other functions, such as Mosaic for channel monitoring, and also the use of media services’.
