Mexican Radio Centro Group’s (GRC) president, Francisco Aguirre Gomez, confirmed that the company will start broadcasts on FTA TV in October, through Channel 8 DTT. Businessman expressed that the Telecommunications Federal Institute (IFT) supported to install its operations center in Cerro de Chiquihuite, CDMX, and in Cerro de Tres Padres, State of Mexico.
‘We already have Channel 8 on TV, and we are ready to broadcast on it in October with a structure given by the IFT’, said GRC’s president. In previous statements, Aguirre Gomez commented that the channel would be launched with multiprogramming, and said that the group would release ‘no one, but several channels’. He also added to have met with IFT’s authorities to establish programs that will be broadcast on his FTA channel.
GRC’s president won the concession for 20 years to operate one of the 32 channels tendered, for which he paid a USD 22.4 million consideration.
