MercadoLibre offers up to 45% discount on subscription to HBO GO in Latin American countries

As part of the partnership agreement between Mercado Libre and HBO Latin America, announced in July, users of the Latin American e-commerce platform can now subscribe directly to the HBO GO streaming platform and access premium titles, obtaining discounts that range from 10% to 45%, through the Mercado Puntos benefits program.

This offer gives Mercado Libre and Mercado Pago users the option to subscribe to HBO GO without using credit or debit cards to access the platform’s exclusive content catalog. Users will be able to log in and choose between three different ways of payment: money available in the Mercado Pago account, credit or debit cards, or in cash in the network of physical branch offices affiliated with the platform.

‘We are proud to announce that this benefit is now available to all of our users inArgentina, Mexico and Brazil. Through the partnership with HBO GO, we aim to continue strengthening our benefits program and improving the experience of our buyers throughout Latin America, giving them the possibility of accessing premium and quality content, at a lower cost and without the need to have credit cards’, reported Sean Summers, CMO at Mercado Libre.

As reported, the amount of discounts is determined by the level that the user has in the Mercado Puntos program. The higher the level in the program, the higher the percentage that applies for the discount. The scale goes from level 1, in which the user gets a 10% reduction in the monthly subscription of HBO GO, and reaches level 6, in which the cost is reduced up to 45%.
